  MORTALITY rates Pre-Covid and Post-Covid (How are we going to understand?)

  i got out my calculator and looked up mortality statistics.

  i wanted to get a "feel" for what is normal ina non-pandemic world in order to compare with how things are now.once had had a "feeling" for it i began to notice that media has a dramatic (perhaps overblown) tendency toterrify the public by framing death rates, predictions, and political discord hysterically.

  Common sense tells us that the poorly worn and thin masks, sloppy cleaning in stores and the still going out would have lots of us dead if the virus was as potent as claimed. There is an agenda.

  for me, outside the jw context, that word seems to relate to something like a prison setting, where you're allowed to do certain things based on good behavior.

  The privilege was being able to get up and move around, visit on some jobs, and once upon a time meet a girl. A few times as attendant at convention I actually felt good about handling a medical issue or similar

  I could fall asleep reading the WT, running mikes, or the sound box. Staying seated was nap time

  I think a lot knew 4 years ago. Problem is some will vote personality instead if platform.

  Libertarian, green, have too few chances. We need a new Regressive party or such. None of the above would always win

  What a job. Hope it is composted at very high temps. Will home depot carry it?

  How does this fit in with the directions I get to not even flush any old antibiotic. Surely the drugs will transfer to whatever is grown.

  You Know You're A Jehovah's Witness When...

  you know you're a jehovah's witness when.... being offered a scholarship to a good university is considered a bad thing.. when you see a house you like you claim it for after your god kills the owner.. you recieve spiritual guidence from a bus driver and a window washer.. you're engaged to a person you only met 3 months ago.. your widowed mother is marrying a man she met at the convention who she's known for 2 weeks.. there's jehovah's witnesses meeting in your house on a saturday morning to talk about going out knocking on doors on a saturday morning.. a lie in on a weekend happens about twice a year.. you dont talk to your own parents/children because they have a different opinion about a magazine.. you're not quite sure what you're supposed to believe anymore.. when someone criticizes your a magazine you feel like you're being attacked.. your 3yo son owns a suit.. if you're not married by the age of 30 you're considered to be gay or something wrong with you.. (for girls) if you havent married the first or second person you've dated you're considered promiscuous or something wrong with you.. you get your scientific knowledge from a magazine written by people who've never been to college and have never actually read the source they claim to be citing.. you get excited if there's a storm or natural disaster.. you get excited when there's a terrorist attack.. you get excited when there's a pandemic.. your version of tinder is the lunch break at a convention.. your girlfriend dresses like her grandmother.. your grandparents, despite being in the same religion as you, died believing totally a different belief system..

  so my 88 mil died and was the epitome of a faithful sister.

  my wife and her sister are members of the congregation for 40+ years.

  to be fair it was short notice but we had the showing and visitation and only about 12 out of 120 of the congregation showed up and only 1 elder!

  Sorry to hear, we all have to face it despite false promises.

  The mindset is that this pandemic is equal to the black death do there is no interaction in person. The announcements if made at all are very short--there is important business to handle like donations and mask reminders.

  You did miss the hungry people coming to a reception and a recruiting talk. Memorials are one of the few ways to catch up with old acquaintances.

  I know one loving elder who did not have any remembrance per his instructions. My suspicion is he realized the hollow hope held out. It does make the clisure harder for family though.

  A new one will csuse as much rioting as a contested election. It will take a heavy hand to restore peace.

  We normal people can no more change radical thinking than they can convince us there are 7 genders.

  We need to get back to decent behaviour on all sides.

  Ant legal recourse?

  hello everyone, if the elders start hounding someone to attend a judicial committee meeting is there any legal recourse that someone can take to make them back off?

  i know that sometimes they will just at the threat of it.

  thoughts?.

  Simon. The downside is them using coercion to force family and friends to walk away from you. Trying to deny them any leverage

  Is st Louis a county? Where i live there are 2 cities with a seamy border area, the cops cooperate. The stats are computed separately. Kansas city is listed twice, i bet the murders cross the river easily

  I notice chicago needs to step it up.
